Cultural Sanctimony: Collin College Student Photographic Exhibition opens June 19 at the ARTS Gallery

THE ARTS GALLERY AT COLLIN COLLEGE PRESENTS CULTURAL SANCTIMONY

(PHOTOGRAPHIC WORKS FROM COLLIN COLLEGE STUDENTS)

THE ARTS gallery presents Cultural Sanctimony from June 19 – July 21, 2017.

Photographic works by students will be featured in the annual exhibition under the direction of Photographer and Collin College Art Professor Byrd Williams. The exhibition addresses a range of topics and demonstrates several photography processes in an installation that engages, confronts, and challenges the viewer. Cultural Sanctimony is on view June 19 and runs through July 21, 2017 in THE ARTS gallery, room A175, Spring Creek Campus, Plano.

Artist Include: Daniel Eubank, Moriah Garcia, Lee Laird, Wayne Maynard, Freddie Meagher, Michaela Million, Natalie Small, Hector Tellez and Miaojian Zheng. A reception will be held, free and open to the public, from 4-7 p.m. Tuesday, June 29. The gallery is located on Collin College’s Spring Creek Campus, Room A175, 2800 E. Spring Creek Parkway in Plano. Regular gallery hours are: 9 a.m.-8 p.m., Monday-Thursday; 9 a.m-3 p.m., Friday-Saturday.

Art courses offered at Collin include 2-D design, 3-D design, ceramics, communication design, digital arts, drawing, figure drawing, jewelry/art metals, painting, photography, printmaking, sculpture, and watercolor.
