CADD Spring Bus Tour – April 30th – Buy your ticket today!

CADD has been promoting the visual arts through unique programming since 2006 and the bus tours have been going strong since 2011. Bus Tour participants gain access to artist’s studios, member galleries, private collections, art installations and other special venues! Buy a bus ticket today and join the fun!
The April 30th CADD BUS TOUR begins at 10:30 a.m. The first stop starts with CADD member, Conduit Gallery. Visitors will enjoy a private viewing and discussion of three exhibitions by artists Juan Fontanive, Rosalyn Bodycomb and Jennie Ottinger. Coffee will be served. From Conduit Gallery you will walk two blocks to a new building housing the Karpidas Collection – a private art space in the Design District. The collection was assembled by London-based collector Pauline Karpidas and her Dallas-based son, Panos and his wife Elizabeth.  41 artworks from more than 1000 items are in the current exhibition, “Empathy and Love,” curated by Dallas Museum of Art’s Senior Curator of Contemporary Art, Gavin Delahunty. Then jump on the bus to visit CADD member, Craighead Green Gallery. Tour the gallery and exhibitions by Brad Ellis, Michelle O’Michael and Linda McCall, have lunch, and then head to your next stop.  Final stop is CADD member, 500X Gallery. Visitors will tour the gallery exhibitions by Kate Colin, Sheryl Anaya and Kalee Appleton and have dessert and refreshments.  Patrons will then be transported back to Conduit Gallery at approximately 2:30 pm.

10:30 am – Park and begin at Conduit Gallery, 1626-C Hi Line Drive, Dallas, TX 75207
11:15 am – Walk 2 blocks to the Karpidas Collection on Hi Line Drive
12:15 pm – Take bus to Craighead Green Gallery for tour and lunch
  1:30 pm – Take bus to 500X Gallery for tour, dessert, and refreshments
  2:15 pm – Take bus back to Conduit Gallery on Hi-Line where cars are parked
  2:30 pm – Bus Tour complete
Contemporary Art Dealers of Dallas (CADD) is a non-profit membership organization of galleries formed in 2006 for the purpose of promoting the advancement of contemporary art on all levels. Members are committed to represent the highest standards of contemporary art, while recognizing the importance of integrity and responsibility in working with artists, collectors, museum professionals, and the cultural community of Dallas.
Each year CADD offers a Scholarship to a graduating high school senior from Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts. The Scholarship is awarded to a student pursuing a Fine Arts degree at an accredited university or art institute. The scholarship may be used for tuition, books, equipment, travel, and/or supplies assisting the student in their academic endeavors. Proceeds from CADD events assists with the CADD Scholarship and CADD Educational Programs.
