About the Juror:

Lynné Bowman Cravens is a fine art photographer working in an interdisciplinary method. She takes a wide range of approaches in her artwork as a response to her autobiographical narrative. The work is poetic and expressive, revealing a glimpse into her desires through contemporary self-portraiture. Cravens works primarily with photography, making unique pieces from an infinitely reproducible medium. Through meticulous physical d e and series range from large-scale digital installations to delicate one of a kind objects.

Cravens attended St. Edward’s University and received her BA in Photocommunications in 2009. She later attended graduate school at the University of North Texas where she received her MFA in Photography in 2015. Cravens currently resides in the Dallas/Fort Worth area, working as the Gallery Manager at The Art Galleries at TCU. She recently finished her second and final season as a member of the artist run co-op, 500X Gallery. Cravens’ work was recently featured in two publications; first in 6th Volume of the Friend of the Artist publication, and secondly in an interview for the online publication Voyage Dallas Magazine.
