SMCFW and AIGA DFW are teaming up to help you fill your creative bank with best practices, tools and trade secrets that will get your content noticed, even if graphic design and photography aren’t at the top of your list of skills.

AIGA DFW continues our mission to call attention to the people who helped shape DFW’s design aesthetic, community and strength with the third volume of our Seasoned Pros speaker series. Each season, we’ll be hearing from those with the expertise, experience, personality and style that helped shape our city’s design community. There’s an easier way to take your work up a notch than staring out the office window and praying for inspiration. Get help from your community! Our next Input event, part of the new {out}spire series, is an open creative forum where you can share your current projects with your community. Be inspired by hearing fresh ideas on your work and help others find new perspectives for their challenges. Give and take feedback and make your work all it can be.

AIGA DFW Women’s Leadership Series: Cocktails and Convos

April 14, 2015 // 7:00 pm

In 2014, AIGA launched its Women’s Leadership Initiative to recognize and cultivate women’s successes in creative communities. Centered around the goals of celebration, cultivation and connection, each chapter aims to facilitate the conversation about women and leadership in its respective community.

We don’t want to start our initiative with what’s expected. Instead, we want to open up our Women’s Leadership Initiative with a couple of roundtables, some good food, wine and conversation about what we’re proud of, what we’re experiencing and what we’re hoping for in the world of women’s leadership.

Show Off Your Handy Work!

Whether it’s a local logo, a national advertisement, or the insanely ornate invitations that you made for your favorite nephew’s 6th birthday party, this is your opportunity to show off your hand drawn designs in a gallery setting. There’s no entry fee and no category rules; simply shoot an email with an image of your handy work to, and we’ll finalize the rest.
