A Black & White Interpretation of Nature

JB and Susan Harlin create their black & white photographs with “time-honored tools, working solely with film and traditional photographic paper in the wet darkroom.”  “It is said that color image is generally reality, while a black & white image can represent what is within the mind’s eye. The finished photographs that JB and Susan create are their interpretation of their experience. The uniqueness of their vision, coupled with the large and ultra large format negatives they make, allow detail and depth of imagery that is unique to their art form. The beauty and richness of high quality black & white contact prints is with itself an experience for the viewer. Hopefully, those that view their images will see as well as experience their interpretation of the things the photograph.”

Enjoy the photographic journey of JB and Susan during the month of September and be a part of a reception in their honor on Thursday evening, September 11, 2014 from 7 to 9 pm in Keller Town Hall, 1100 Bear Creek Parkway.
