For the past thirteen years Cedars Neighborhood Artists have opened their doors to the public for one day to showcase the talent, creativity and vibrant lives of the artists that work and live here. This free event draws thousands of visitors, from all walks of life, to explore the neighborhood studios, learn about art, shop and enjoy local bars and restaurants.
The Cedars The Cedars, a.k.a. the Dallas Artists’ District, has long been home to a diverse group of Dallas artists. Renowned glass artists Jim and Mary Lynn Bowman, sculptor Albert Scherbarth and over 60 other artists will open their studios to the public, giving visitors a chance to experience this creative, evolving neighborhood, rich in art, history and entertainment. See the Cedars on two wheels! For cycling enthusiasts, there is also a bike tour led by Bike Friendly Cedars.
Visit the cedars artists in their homes and studios – as independently unique as the individual artwork created within, whether it’s glass blowing, photography, painting, sculpture or expressive hula-hoop dancing, you won’t want to miss a single one!
