“urban footprint” is a strictly photographic exhibit slated for May 7-31, 2013 in the Frisco Art Gallery, 8004 N. Dallas Pkwy, Frisco, TX 75034.
From an individual footprint to a complex skyline, human industry and creativity have altered and transformed the natural world. This exhibit seeks photographs that capture a moment in, a representative of, or a monument to, civilization.
Images may show the positive and negative effects upon nature including cityscapes, altered landscapes, urban jungles, city dwellers, city workers, night life, government officials, environmental pollution, automobiles, machines, and more!
Selections will reflect a creative interpretation of the advance of human agency, particularly in the context of the city.
DEADLINE to submit: April 26.
Email up to 5 possible submissions in JPEG format to curator, Paige Prater: firstname.lastname@example.org
Paho Mann, Assistant Professor of Photography at the College of Visual Arts and Design at the University of North Texas, will jury the exhibit.
