From the Mundane to the Specific
August 28 – September 26, 2017
Deadline for entry via online form: August 18
Are there ordinary objects at home or work which, by way of painting, photography, drawing, etc. that could be afforded a leap into art? Make the revisioning of commonplace objects worthy of display on a wall or a pedestal. A broken pot, worn old boots, antique dinnerware, the frayed arm of a chair, or a rusty part of a disassembled yard tool for example, can transform into something at home in a sphere beyond the ordinary. Work in all media will be considered.
About the Curator: Henry Biber was educated as a Psychologist and is an experienced psychotherapist. This background compelled him to create work that calls out a response which quotidian experiences may not always do. The work appears to mirror some part of our unconscious experience. Henry produces his art digitally. His work has appeared in the U.K.and Dallas. Please submit up to three entries (jpgs at 72 dpi and no longer than 1800 pixels on longest side) by August 18..
