 PeckArtJournalCall for artists:

The Bibliophile Art Exhibit: Books, Libraries & Literature will be on display April 27 – June 29, 2013 at the West Irving Library. It’s FREE to enter and open to any adult in the North Texas area. Participants may enter up to four works.

The exhibit is unique in concept and will take advantage of the extensive glass cabinets for display at the Library.

This exhibit celebrates the love of the art of books, the printed word, and everything associated:cover art, illustrations of favorite literature, the illustrated word, and the genre of library art. The book itself can be the art, as in altered books, handmade books or art journals.

Two types of work are accepted: two dimensional and three-dimensional work. The latter will be displayed in locked glass cabinets. For more information, see the prospectus: Bibliophile Art Exhibit prospectus flyer
