Images for website:

Send images to be displayed on the Association’s website by the Entry Deadline to NatlAccordion@sbcglobal.net. Artwork will be placed on the website in arrival sequence and within 1-2 working days. Images must be JPEG with artist’s last name, first initial and the corresponding entry number for each entry.

Notice: NAA Officials are using this art show as a marketing test; therefore, the art show does not have an entry fee, commission charge, nor any prize monies. Ribbon will be issued to prize winner plus the art work will be featured on the Association’s website.

National Accordion Association officials are introducing a new concept for 2015. Accordionists attending the upcoming convention and area artists are encouraged to display musically oriented art during the convention. The artwork is to be two dimensional art such as oil, watercolor, acrylics, photographs, etc. Crafts are not included for 2015.

Public Viewing:

The artwork is to be displayed in a secured area that is available for conventioneer and public viewing starting Wednesday afternoon until Saturday evening. Selling the artwork is strongly encouraged, so be sure to include the price with/without the frame. Only finished artwork (suitable for hanging) will be accepted. Area art studios and clubs will be furnishing a limited number of display stands, so feel free to bring your own display table or panel. Artists displaying artwork will receive two tickets ($20.00 value) to a concert or dance of your choice.

*Artist Reception:

The Saturday buffet luncheon will include an “artist reception” where the judge’s decisions will be announced and conventioneers and the general public may meet the artists. (The buffet will be priced at approximately $12 and artists and guests may purchase a meal if they wish to do so.) Artists who display art during the convention may bring a small table or rack to display and possibly sell additional art items such as prints of their original artwork. Selected accordionists will furnish the background music for this artist reception.

Advantage of participating in this art show:

National recognition as the image of the artwork will be displayed on the NAA web site for a minimum of six months. Artists wishing to exhibit their art during our convention and to display the image of the artwork on the National Accordion Association website are required to send an electronic copy of the artwork to Sharon Seaton at SharonRSeaton@sbcglobal.net. NAA’s officials have the right to reject any artwork deemed unsuitable for young audiences.
