Call for Art from the Texas Visual Arts Association Downtown Gallery
February 1- February 28, 2013
Love may be defined in many ways – as the strong affection and personal attachment one may feel for another person or animal; as the virtuous unselfish, and benevolent concern one may express for the good of another; as the compassionate actions one may take toward others, animals, or one’s self; as the passion, desire, and intimacy one may experience with another romantically; as the bond that develops between friends; as the protective connection within families; or as the selfless devotion one may express religiously.
Artists have been creating work expressing their interpretation of “love” since the beginning of time. You are invited to submit up to three entries (jpgs at 72 dpi and no longer than 1000 pixels on longest side) to Curator KeLaine Kvale at firstname.lastname@example.org expressing your interpretation of love. All media accepted. Deadline is January 20th. Entry form available at www.tvaa.org, from KeLaine, or from Gallery Director Jan Partin (email@example.com).
