Fort Worth Public Art is issuing a call for artwork from Tarrant County artists. Chosen artwork will be used to wrap fourteen traffic signal control cabinets on East Lancaster Avenue.
Each applicant can submit up to eight images, which if selected, will be printed on vinyl and adhered to a traffic signal control cabinet for up to 5 years. Artists will be paid a $500 licensing fee for each image selected. Artists may have more than one of their images selected for use. The call is limited to artists 18 years or older who reside in Tarrant County.
If you are eligible, we encourage you to participate. The application is free. The deadline is January 7, 2016.
Submissions can be made through CAFÉ (callforentry.org) and you can read more about the requirements and history of the East Lancaster Public Art Plan on the FWPA website: http://www.fwpublicart.org/nu_site/page.php/id/trafficcontrolboxSubmitted by Kathleen Forrest. Email: email@example.com
