Fort Worth Public Art – Request for project proposals

Request for Temporary Public Art Project Proposals
Part of the Fort Worth Public Art Master Plan Update
Deadline: September 6, 2016
The City of Fort Worth is embarking on an update of the original Fort Worth Public Art Master Plan, which sets forth a vision for public art in Fort Worth and makes recommendations of future projects and guidelines for artist selection and design review.

Master Plan Update Consultants Barbara Goldstein and Jessica Cusick are seeking a diverse team of socially-engaged arts professionals to develop a project that will reach people of all ages and cultural backgrounds in Fort Worth in a lively and compelling way. Projects should actively reach the public and result in measurable information that can be used in the update of the Fort Worth Public Art Master Plan.

Eligible projects should take place in various locations throughout Fort Worth over a six month period from October 2016 through February 2017. The Public Art Master Plan Update consultants and FWPA staff will work with the selected artist team to finalize locations and to create a framework for capturing information that can be incorporated into the Fort Worth Public Art Master Plan Update.

The budget for this project is $30,000.

This call is limited to North Texas Artists living in Tarrant County and surrounding counties.

Artist Team applicants must submit proposals and other submission materials on-line via Start by creating a free account.
