Glass Kaleidoscopes with Diane Flynn

2 day workshop

 

  Sat. – Sun. Nov. 8-9 – 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

$180 tuition + $30 supplies

 

Build a unique kaleidoscope using fusing and stained glass techniques. Piecing together colorful glass, each student will create a one-of-a-kind piece to gaze through. No glass experience required.

 

 

 

Explore the Magic of Silver Glass with Hayley Tsang-Sather

2, one-day intensive workshops

 

  Sat. – Sun. Nov. 15-16 – 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.

$425 tuition + supplies (includes both workshops)

 

 Two, intensive one-day workshops concentrate on working with a variety of reducing silver glass. Students will explore the many facets of different flame chemistry, along with visiting artist, Hayley’s own process, to bring out all the different luster colors, often within one silver glass. Students will also learn how to best capture – and RETAIN – the pearlescent effects under encasement. Intermediate to advanced levels.

 

 

  

Boroscilliate Glass Holiday Ornaments with Kip Maley

 

  Sat. Nov. 29 – 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

$100 tuition + $15 supplies 

Decorate with handcrafted glass icicles this winter season! Glass artists will enjoy this seasonal workshop, creating many beautiful ornaments in borosiliciate glass.
Prerequsite: Previous lampworking class, workshop or experience required.

Fused Holiday Ornaments with Diane Flynn

  Sun. Nov. 30 – 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

  $90 tuition + $20 supplies

Create unique ornaments to hang on your holiday tree or gift. Diane will guide students in making seasonal designs such as snowmen, angels and holiday trees, or bring your own ideas! This will be an excellent introduction to creating fused glass artwork. Beginning Level

 

DRAWING & PAINTING DRAW

 

Watercolor Holiday Cards with Alice O’Leary

 

  Sat. Nov. 8 – 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
$90 tuition + $15 supplies

Create a few colorful holiday note cards, perfect for sending or framing. Alice O’Leary will provide seasonal designs to start from, and share inspiring watercolor techniques, making this workshop great for any level painter. Get a handmade jump-start to the holiday season.

 

 

 

 

 

  

Open Session with Model  

 

   Wednesdays:   November 12th

6:30 p.m. – 9:30 p.m.

$20 tuition (one evening)

 

Create artwork from a live model in the media of your choice (clay sculptors welcome too!). Please note: there will be no instruction in these open sessions. Participants must preregister.

 

 

Painting from the Heart with Tina Alvarez
  Sat. Nov. 15 – 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.

$45 tuition + $20 supplies

Open the gateway to your inner creative landscape. Dive into your depths and learn a fun, simple and easy process of painting/drawing to access images from within. Take a taste of Touch Drawing. You will leave with 15-30 images to use in your own creative process. We will also explore ways for enhancing your images at home. No art experience necessary, all levels of skill welcome. Please wear clothes that can get dirty.

Metal Clay Oval Lentil Locket with Terry Kovalcik
2 day workshop
 
   Fri. –Sat. Nov. 14-15 – 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
   $325 tuition + supplies

 

Enjoy this two day workshop with visiting artist Terry Kovalcik! This is a half-lentil flat back dome shape locket.  The surface treatment can be textured, painted, or appliqued.  In this workshop, students will work with shallow textured plates. This locket also has a flat back with a decorative sheet-clay hinge and a friction clasp closure. Skill level is a determined beginner to advanced with a pre-requisite of one or two metal clay classes.

 

 

Metal Clay Sachel Locket with Terry Kovalcik
2 day workshop

 
   Sun. –Mon. Nov. 16-17 – 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.

$325 tuition + supplies

Enjoy this two day workshop with visiting artist Terry Kovalcik! This quarter-lentil is similar to the circular locket with its flat back dome but is cut in half with a lide and friction clasp closure. The surface treatment can be textured, painted, or appliqued. In this workshop, students will work with applique.  A decorative sheet-clay hinge attaches the lid.

Skill level is advanced beginner to advanced with a pre-requisite of one or two metal clay classes.  

 

BOOK, PAPER, & FIBER ARTSBOOK

 

  Collage Cards with Suzanne Morgan 

 

  Sun. Nov. 9 – 11:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m

  $75 tuition + $15 supplies

Description: Learn to make small pieces of highly embellished felt and add some bling to make a beautiful colaged card. These make wonderful Christmas cards or notes for someone special.

Binding an Artist Sketchbook with Laura Easterling

 

 

  Sun. Nov. 16 – 9:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.

  $75 tuition + $15 supplies
Bind a large sketchbook from scratch with many pages to fill with your artwork and notes. Laura with teach the coptic binding technique pictured here. This will be a great introduction to bookbinding for any aspiring or skilled artist.
