The TAC Professional Review is an opportunity for artists to show their work to curators, gallery directors and art writers in order to be critiqued and given constructive feedback on their art and presentation. The arts professional/s will be available for 20-minute individual critiques/reviews for artists. These reviews are available to paid-up/current Texas Artists Coalition members only. Each TAC member may only sign up for one review in June. Payment of $25 MUST accompany sign-up. Memberships or renewals may be paid for at the same time. Professional: Ryder Richards
Ryder Richards was a fellow at Roswell Artist-in-Residence from September 2012 until August 2013, and is acting art department chair and faculty at Eastfield College in Mesquite, TX. Known for his many long-term collaborations, Ryder is the co-founder of the RJP NOMADIC GALLERY, and CULTURE LABORATORY, is also a member of Dallas-based collective THE ART FOUNDATION, who curated Boom Town at the Dallas Museum of Art, had Fountainhead accepted into the collection of the Nasher Sculpture Center, and created an installation at The Reading Room for the Texas Biennial 2013. He is the recipient of several scholarships and awards including artist-in-residence programs at Roswell, New Mexico; Vermont Studio Center, Vermont; Hilmsen, Germany; Paducah, Kentucky and Portales, New Mexico. Ryder also continues as a freelance curator and writes art reviews for publications such as Glasstire.com, D Magazine, and Cornell Press. He is the founder and editor of Eutopia: Contemporary Art Review.
