The Upstairs Gallery in Arlington has asked me to do the charcoal/ acrylic workshop.It is a lot of fun and there is multiple ways to use charcoal.  We will stamp with it and paint with it to get a variety of

Learn a different approach to drawing and painting.  After applying the  charcoal to canvas or paper, you can then draw with water or pencils
or brushes to create exciting and unusual effect.  Bring your own drawings to incorporate into your paintings.  The charcoal will be provided.
October 1  Saturday
10 a.m. till 4 p.m.
Fee:  $50
Supplies:  Exacto knife, several canvases, boards, 20×24 or smaller, w/c paper (gesso) acrylics,metallics,brushes(flat 2″ and small round)
scissors,Krylon workable fixatif spray,mask and goggles for charcoal and  spray,plastic gloves, paper towels,drawing pencils (2b for shading)
and drawings you will use, sheets of craft foam)white) any size.
We will have many different starts so bring plenty of things to paint
on.  You can bring old paintings and stamp the charcoal images
over them.
