About Billie:
Billie Bourgeois, MFA from LSU, has a lifetime of experience teaching artistic methods. She is represented by several regional art galleries, including Bee Street Studio here in the Dallas/FW area, and is a member of the Mississippi Art Colony. She describes her process as an intuitive response to nature.

Class Description:
The class is a journey into artistic self-discovery! Billie will teach a way of painting that is very freeing, expressive, and energetic. It works for artists who paint realism or abstract subject matter. The exercises and tools you’ll learn will expand your creative thinking and mark making vocabulary. Beginning painters will lose the fear of making art, and long-time painters will get out of a painting rut. Everyone will learn some new ways to ‘build’ a painting, have fun, and loosen up, all while processing several paintings at the same time. The exercises will focus on process and momentum.

The class includes drawing, painting, stenciling, mono-printing and collage processes. The class will be taught using acrylic paints, but all processes are applicable to other mediums.

Dates: April 12-14, 2019
Time: 9:30 AM to 4:30 PM each day (Fri- Sat -Sun)
Fee: $350 per person; limited to 15 participants. The non-refundable deposit will be $100,

The class will be held in Teta Smith Studio, enter through Skypony Gallery, The Shops at Willow Bend (2nd level), 6121 West Park Blvd, Plano, Texas 75093.
