In this super fun workshop students will create a self-portrait made from a variety of new and old materials. Student will take ordinary objects and used it other than what is was designed for to create an abstract face. IE; cardboard for a t-shirt, tie-dye fabric for a background, painted matchsticks that become hair or a shirt made of torn cardboard. Students will incorporate their own face and personal items of meaning. Student may bring their own fabric, paper, paints, beads and objects in a variety of shapes and sizes. Glue, paper, paint and other found stuff will be provided.
*Student MUST bring a good photograph or head shot of themselves or who you will be painting to be used to develop this portrait (to small will not work). The face must fill up an 8.5 x 11 sheet of paper.
