Getting Intimate with Nature

Take a break from everyday life and be transformed into a natural setting of intimate beauty this autumn and allow your inner photographic voice to surface.  We are all searching for a balance point in our life, and photographing nature can be a wonderful means for personal self-expression and fulfillment.

Nature is always expressing herself in a variety of ways but only, if we choose to see it.  This workshop is about taking the time to see the natural, organic quality of light and color in nature and using the canvas of our cameras to create images that become a photographic witness to its wonder.

This photo workshop adventure will include a lecture and HD digital presentation on Friday evening, with an early morning sojourn to a nearby state park. The park is located in the western cross timbers region which is home to a lake, old growth oaks, cliffs and abundant wildlife.  There are many expressions of nature waiting to be captured with your camera such as: large boulders covered with colorful lichens, live and blackjack oaks showing off their autumnal tones, a hidden pocket of flowers, or tonal reflections ever-changing on the water.

Join me for a memorable photographic sojourn this fall, where we will each unwrap the gifts of nature and share some of our best images of the day.
