Desmond O’Hagan 2-Day  Online Pastel Workshop

I will be teaching a 2-day online workshopfor pastel painters on Saturday & Sunday, July 25 – July 26, 2020The workshop fee is $250, and the class size is limited to a total of 15 students.

Saturday and Sunday, July 25-26, 2020
9am to 4pm, MDT, (includes one-hour lunch)

This 2-day, online workshop is for pastel painters and for all skill levels.
All you will need are your regular painting materials, a PC or laptop to connect to the internet (ipad and iphone 
are too small), and a free Zoom account from zoom.us/
      The workshop includes:

         Lectures on a variety of topics.
         Demos in pastels.
         A digital slideshow of my pastel and oil paintings.
         Ongoing instructor critiques of individual students’ works in progress.

This workshop is designed to help you achieve the next level in your pastel paintings by understanding how to interpret and render light in your painting along with other elements. All subject matter choices are welcome as the focus of this workshop concentrates on interpreting values and shapes, which is primary in all paintings.

Desmond is listed in Who’s Who in American Art, a PSA Master Pastelist, and an International Assoc. of Pastel Societies 
“Master Circle” member. In 2019, he acheived Eminent Pastelist status with IAPS (currently only 13 artists worldwide have this designation). His oil and pastel paintings are recognized with several exhibit awards and featured in numerous magazines, nationally and internationally. O’Hagan’s art is included in both public and private collections the U.S., France, Canada, China, Japan, and Ireland. In 2016, Desmond was invited to exhibit and conduct workshops and seminars at the Second Biennial China International Pastel Exhibition in Suzhou, China.
