A Touch of Paris is excited to bring: PMC CERTIFIED LEVEL 3 INSTRUCTOR: Barbara Reeves
and her BEGINNING – INTRODUCTION TO PMC (PRECIOUS METAL CLAY) workshop to the gallery!PMC is a combination of water, binders and small particles of silver. It is molded by hand into a desired shape, textured, and then heated in a kiln or torch to remove the binder and fuse/sinter the clay into 99.9% pure silver.
Learn how to work with PMC to create unique fine silver jewelry. You’ll make a fine silver pendant using PMC 3 clay and a pair of earrings (time allowance). You’ll learn how to cut, texture, form clay, torch firing, plus much more in this 1-day workshop.
Barbara your instructor will provide tools to be used during the class. Students will receive a beginner’s booklet to take home for easy reference.
Cost and Date: $100.00 for 8-hour workshop plus cost of 16 grams of clay ($38.00).
