ArtAbility is a pilot program that provides free studio opportunities and high-quality arts instruction to teens and young adults with developmental and intellectual challenges.
Led by trained teaching artists and overseen by an artist with extensive experience working with special-needs students, this program focuses on self-expression, self-awareness, personal growth as well as professional experience and exposure. Fundamentally, this program is about changing perceptions of special needs students and showing that each person has something important they feel and want to express.

The Creative Arts Center of Dallas has planned three open studio opportunities this summer all to be held on Saturdays from 2pm to 3:30pm.  Each event will feature three mediums for students to explore, such as ceramics, mixed media, painting, mosaic, sculpture, etc.  The dates are June 27th, July 18th and August 22nd. Reservations are necessary, please call (214) 320-1275 to make yours!
