People of the Colorado Plateau
48 x 60, Oil
Margie Taylor is a pilot and an artist who combines her love of both in her paintings. When she and her husband Ted are traveling, she takes aerial photos from the plane. She then uses these photos for the background and transposes a figure into the painting. She uses colors that are alive and vibrant and her figures are always in action. This painting features a Ute Indian in the midst of a tribal dance performance in Granby, Colorado. The aerial is a Colorado landscape near the Southern plateau.
Margie is a member of the Corsicana Art League, Corsicana, Texas, Art Out of Thin Air, Grand Lake, Colorado, Outdoor Painters Society and American Women Artist.
