I use orange a lot in my work. To me it represents life, a force of nature, hot and fierce. It creates a vibrancy within the painting, that accentuates colors (turquoise and blues) and emphasizes ideas.

I have always been drawn to the color orange in paintings. It draws in the eyes and creates a mood or feeling. It is vibrant and alive and can create tension within an otherwise quiet painting. Most all of my paintings have orange in them…the spark of life…in action.
