20″ x 16″ x 2″, Mixed — Plexiglass/acrylic with paint elevated above a painted wood panel

This multidimensional piece represents the primeval polarities of light and dark that interact to generate the world. Using principles of sacred geometry, two circles of opposite colors painted on the elevated plexiglass overlap to create a common area, the vesica piscis or mandorla. Due to its transparency, this area also shows that it contains equal amounts of its opposite color from the background below, all to create a perfect balance of opposites. (Executed totally in the complementary colors of yellow-green and red-purple.)
